Make Your Baby Gift Baskets Inspire Creativity In Your Child

Toys of all sorts are proliferating in the market. There's too many of them that choosing which one to purchase sometimes becomes your problem. Should you catch up with the trend and go for toys that are battery-operated and are complete with flashing lights and loud sounds. Or should you go more traditional and foster your child's curiosity and imagination. Which classification offers better benefits

Toys of all sorts are proliferating in the market. There's too many of them that choosing which one to purchase sometimes becomes your problem. Should you catch up with the trend and go for toys that are battery-operated and are complete with flashing lights and loud sounds? Or should you go more traditional and foster your child's curiosity and imagination?

Which classification offers better benefits? You already know the answer. The following are among the items your baby gift baskets should not be without:

Books

No child should ever grow up without owning a book in his younger years. Early on, you should already foster your child's curiosity and search for knowledge. And books will help you with this endeavor. Invest in both fiction and non-fiction books. Make reading both a fun and informative experience for your child.

Blocks

Blocks (and legos too!) are ideal toys for your child. They foster creativity and fine motor skills. They are also fun to play with. Your child will hardly get tired of building bridges, cities, towers and creatures of all sorts. You can even encourage your child to aim for complex creations. This will test and improve his patience and sense of achievement.

Musical Instruments

Is your child endowed with a musical talent? One way to find out is to provide the avenue he needs to discover his own potential. Invest in musical instruments. And even if your child is not a music genius, having him exposed to the instruments could at least teach him the basics and make him build an interest in the field.

Art Supplies

Another way you can help your child tap his own potential is by keeping art supplies handy. Encourage him and give him the resources to explore his own creativity. Give him crayons, glue, scissors, coloring books, water colors, and all sorts of art supplies. And do allow him to get messy. Give him the freedom to do whatever (that's safe of course) and express all sorts of things through his little artwork.

Puppets

One way children learn is through 'imitation'. So do give your child the freedom to mimic and to do role playing. Give him puppets to play with. You can also tap his creativity by encouraging him to make his own puppets. The bonus is that you get to see how your child perceives the people around him and 'who' actually catches his attention by his choice of characters for his puppets and how he delivers their roles.

Felt Boards

Felt boards offer a great way for your child to express his thoughts. These toys also offer a fun medium for your child's creativity. Give your child felt boards of all colors and provide him with a pair of scissors (make sure it's safe for his age). Be amazed by all the things your little child can create.
